Each year I design a mystery quilt, we have a full day class where the ladies do not know what they are going to make they just have to trust me - it is really fun.
This year I chose to work with a wedge ruler. I have used different designs to show how the ruler can be used to create many different looks.
The class was a huge success and there were many amazing quilts produced on the day.
My fabrics were full of fruit and so I have named my quilt Fruit Wedges. This pattern is quick and easy and is great for a modern look.
I love working with Riley Blake fabrics, they are so much fun and a great quality too. One of the new ranges is Giraffe Crossing. The colours are so rich and the prints really gorgeous.
I have made this Giraffe Crossing cot quilt using large pieces of fabric to really show off the fabric designs.
Rotary cut and machine pieced.
Sue Daley from Mill House Collections very kindly let me 'play' with this gorgeous Riley Blake range of fabrics called 'Evening Blooms'. I wanted to keep the pieces large to show off the gorgeous prints and so I thought giant hexagons would be perfect. This quilt measures a whopping 60" x 60" and is a perfect quick project to make. Rotary cut and machine pieced it can be made as a one day class. Patterns and kits are available.
